I am a fashion historian, curator, author, and lecturer. I am endlessly inspired by fashion’s ability to empower, define, and transform the self. I study fashion objects to uncover stories of the past.

I am a PhD Candidate in History at NYU where I study the history of community-organized fashion shows in the 20th century U.S. My interests include 19th, 20th, and 21st-century fashion; retail history in New York; the American photographer Alice Austen; history of photography; gender, sexuality, and identity performance; museum theory and practice; Israeli fashion; fashion & diplomacy, and the history of the luxury brand Gottex, which was the topic of  two exhibitions  and the award  winning documentary film I co-created, Mrs. G.
